Did the speaker require that women enter through a different portal? Or was it assumed that since disciples of the Gaon formed the nucleus of Meah She’arim settlement this gathering should follow Meah She’arim norms? Perhaps the assumption was that the hasidic majority of Boro Park nowadays would look to criticize a vilna Gaon centric event and one must not give an excuse to complain.
But interesting to note.
Will Rabbi Dr. Brodt be addressing other dubious writings attributed to the Gaon? Or exclusively to rivlinese forgeries
Thank you Rabbi Dr E. B. for coming to BP which enabled me seeing you in real life! In fact, it would have made more sense to speak in flatbush or the like where you would’ve had 3 times as many people but I guess it’s to your great shunning of honor (i mean it seriously) you chose BP which would likely be just a few people as it indeed turned out.
